Military Promotions

During my Naval career, I was frequently promoted. I was so fortunate to have a loving, supportive family during my stint in the Navy. I also appreciate and want to thank from the bottom of my heart all my shipmates who mentored and trained me. I advanced every time I was eligible. In September of 1983, I was promoted to Chief Petty Officer, only nine years after entering military service.

In 1984, I decided to apply for the Navy’s Limited Duty Officer (LDO) program since I was approaching the top of the enlisted ladder early in my career. Subsequently, I was selected by the LDO board to become a commissioned officer. On March 1, 1985, I was sworn in as an Ensign, and I entered the commissioned officer ranks.
